Telehealth Consent
This document outlines the terms of consent for telehealth consultations with Cedar Men's Health.
Last updated: 21 August 2026
Nature of telehealth
Telehealth consultations are conducted via video or audio call. While telehealth is a convenient way to receive care, it has limitations compared to in-person consultations.
Limitations
The doctor cannot perform a physical examination during a telehealth consultation. Some conditions may require in-person assessment, and your doctor may refer you accordingly.
Technology requirements
You will need a stable internet connection and a device with video and audio capabilities. You are responsible for ensuring a private, quiet location for your consultation.
Consent
By proceeding with a telehealth consultation, you acknowledge the limitations of telehealth and consent to receive care in this format.
Recording
Telehealth consultations are not recorded by Cedar Men's Health unless you and the doctor expressly agree. You may not record a consultation without the other party's consent.
Technology failure
If the connection drops or the technology fails during a consultation, the doctor will attempt to re-establish contact. If this is not possible, the consultation may be rescheduled or completed by telephone.
