What to expect during your consultation

We believe you should know exactly what happens at every step. Here is a clear, honest guide to your consultation — before, during, and after — so you can feel confident and informed from the moment you book.

Before your consultation

  • Find a quiet, private space where you can speak openly. You may want to have a note of any symptoms, concerns, or questions ready.

  • There is no need to prepare medical records in advance, but if you have recent pathology results or a GP summary, having them on hand can be helpful.

  • Ensure your device has a working camera, microphone, and stable internet connection.

During your consultation

  • Your consultation is a real-time call with an Australian registered doctor — not a chatbot, questionnaire, or automated form.

  • The doctor will take a thorough history: your presenting concerns, medical background, lifestyle factors, and any relevant family history.

  • You'll have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss your situation openly. There is no time pressure — the doctor's focus is understanding you as an individual.

  • The doctor will conduct a clinical assessment and explain whether further investigation, such as blood tests, is clinically appropriate.

  • Your doctor may also discuss lifestyle factors, including exercise, and how they fit into your overall care plan.

  • A consultation typically runs for 20–30 minutes, though this is guided by your individual clinical needs.

After your consultation

  • If blood tests are clinically indicated, the doctor will arrange them. Blood tests are bulk-billed — there is no out-of-pocket expense.

  • Once results are available, your doctor reviews them before making any clinical recommendation. You will not be left to interpret results alone.

  • The doctor may recommend ongoing care, further testing, lifestyle changes including exercise prescription where appropriate, referral to your GP or a specialist, or no treatment at all.

What to have ready

A little preparation helps your consultation run smoothly. None of these are required — just helpful if you have them.

Notes of your symptoms or concerns

List of current medications or supplements

Any recent test results (if you have them)

A private space with a stable internet connection

Our commitments to you

Four principles that shape every consultation we hold.

No guaranteed outcomes

Paying for a consultation does not guarantee treatment, prescriptions, or a specific clinical outcome. Every decision is made by the treating doctor based on your individual assessment.

Doctor-led, always

Every step — assessment, testing decisions, and any care recommendation — is made by an Australian registered doctor. There are no algorithms deciding your treatment.

Private and confidential

Your consultation and health information are handled in line with Australian privacy law. Clinical records are kept securely.

No pressure, no subscriptions

There are no lock-in contracts or recurring fees. You pay only for the consultations you have with the doctor. You are free to pause or stop care at any time.
